I believe the New York Penal Law states before 1994 for the AWB crap.

Good luck finding a date code on any 47 mag; so they are all pre-ban for you NY folks. Tough to convince them that 5.56 mags were made by communists before 1989 though.

well AR mags are marked for the most part with dates, same with G3 mags...im talking primarily about AK mags.....  am I correct about the above mags?

well for example, the romy drums...they were available during the ban, and more are being imported still (possibly)...the new imported ones might of been made pre94 still, and therefore still preban...even if they are new production, they are the same model they made yearsssssss ago, so theres no way to tell, theres no test they can run, no markings/stamps to reference, no company 1-800 number to call...nothing....

if it existed during the ban, your safe with high cap...even if it wasnt, ive yet to see anyone get in trouble...unless, as I said before, you go on a killing spree, rape a school girl, or have a meth lab in your basement that gets busted...aside from that, no ones running around checking dates on mags.

Valmets in 5.56 have been here since the 1970s, Galils came in the early 1980s, and the Chinese exported plenty of 5.56 AKs to the U.S. during the 1980s.

Also the 5.56 weiger magazines were made prior to the wall coming down in 89.
