All the ones I've seen have the U.S. black polymer furniture with the NATO length buttstock.

For some reason I really think that plum furniture on an AKS-74 looks really good.

I had the chance,a few years ago,to look at several photos taken on the "Russian Frontier",close to the Uzbekistan border. The 74s in the pics were well used and the Soldiers all had the shell shocked look from being left alone out there for extended tours. The appearance of the battle worn plumb 74s,left an impression on me I'll never forget.I'll find some plumb handguards and pistol grip.

I ordered a plum stock set from K-Var. It has the Warsaw pact length stock. I like the shorter stock for some reason. Just waiting for it to arrive, should be here Thursday!

I just received a plum upper.lower and handguard that I traded a  black  set that I took off my Akron Armory Bulgy sidefolder kit.
They are awesome! I'm having trouble fitting the lower right now (I attribute that to being a newbie), but that's another thread!

What would be the correct PG to go with the plum furniture, the plum one or the original reddish/orange that came with the kit?

Is orange bakelite P grip is correct. I think a plum K-VAR P grip looks better, but that's MHO.

Don't forget about plum Izhmash 30 rd. magazines and bayonets. We want to remain competitive in the fashion arena as well as the firepower dept.
