Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stock set for SAR3

I picked up a brand new SAR3 at the local gunshow last weekend, and I am thinking about what I should do with the stock. I've been looking at the K-VAR Nato length black set. I have a couple of other Romy's, a SAR1 and a SAR2, and the stock is a little short for me.

Any feedback on the NATO length stock? Are these sets a "drop in" fit on the SAR3?

If you need black poly, sure. The $10 1" rubber Ak/SKS extension from Tapco also gets you there, and has been fine on my SAR1 for 5 years.

I don't particularly care for the additional length NATO stock.  It does not appear correct, and makes an AK look "westernized" in my opinion.

I would recommend going with RS39 and get the stock extension.

As RS39 says, the extender/recoil pad will do the same thing. If you like the poly stocks, the Kvar is a drop in. I have both setups & both work well. At 6'5", the length of pull is too short for me with the original.
