Well my brother in law is buying his first AK, this is his first AK (I will know what model sunday) however we were talking about things to check and because I'm pretty much clueless regarding AK's I was wondering if anyone here can give us some pointers???

Make sure the gas block and front site are on the barrel straight.

That's mainly a Romy specialty.. Chrome bores are hard to kill, but look hard if it is a non-chromed model. If it's a converted locap or kit build, make sure the US parts are there. |

As long as the bolt isn't rusted shut or the bore is worn out you should be good as long as the price is right

1.Check ejector wear, especially if you buy one with US made receiver.
2.Make sure it has the compliant US parts 3.The only real way to check one is to shoot it sometimes. 4.Do a lot of research on a model you are looking for ie. price ranges,quality, and my favorite resale value. |
