Ok I got my slant break it fits on the threads I put on my AK but I have no idea how to put on the plunger pin and spring. Can anyone help me?

The pin won't fit in the hole above the barrel....

I had to knock out the front pin holding the front sight base,
insert the spring (had to cut it shorter),
insert and align the retaining pin,
and tap front holding pin back in place.

The spring and locking plunger must be installed from the inside of the sight base. If you could just install it from the front, what would keep it from just popping out? I decided to not take the sight off when I installed my slant brake - I epoxied it in place with the indexing cut at the empty plunger hole.

Just make a fake pin from a nail or piece of rod ,
and loctite it and the brake.
It will look fine.

We promise not to tell anyone...

How hard is it to knock the pin a little more than half way and do it right, damn!

I'm surprised no one has suggested using JB Weld like usual....

knock out the pin on the fsb. this will be holding the plunger in place when your done.

install spring then brake

slide plunger in and hold it where the cut is lined up with the hole in the fsb

whack the pin back in.

the pin holds the plunger in place which holds the brake.

the pin isnt that hard to get out. a couple of whacks with a punch and hammer and your set.

i had to clean out the hole for the spring and plunger though, it had what looked like dried cosmoline or some sort of build up which prevented the plunger from going all the way in.
