AK-74 mags have less curve than AK-47 mags.

Here are a few pics I just snapped to help out. One is a Bulgarian 5.45mm AK-74 30rd mag and the other is a Bulgarian 7.62mm AK-47 30rd mag. It looks as if the mag is higher than the top of the measure in a few pics but it is not, it is an illusion.  AK-74 mag on left, AK-47 mag on right. AK-74 mag on top of AK-47 mag. A real Russian drag is gona cost some big $$$$$$$$$. There is the Romanian kinda knock off SSG-97/ROMAK 3, which isnt one at all but kinda looks like one, (what did I just say?...lol...) they are avail here as well as a few other places. The Chinese NDM-86 Dragunov in .308 is capable of exceptional accuracy. My personal best at 100yds using 168gr match ammo, 4-shots ctc is .44". My best 3-shot ctc is .24". My best 3-shot at 500m is 4.5". My 15yr-old son (who now has his own NDM-86) was able to hit the 750m gong his first day out with it. However, the NDM-86 is not cheap! Last I heard CDNN still had a few left (only 1,000 were ever imported in .308) at $1699. Extra mags are $90 *each*. Tomac |
