yes.

also can I put a folding stock on it?

yes.

does the country of manufacture of the stock matter?

no. you must add a total of 5 made in the usa parts to your pistol grip rifle, though. most folks use the 3 trigger parts, a usa pistol gip and gas piston. also available are usa handguards, mag followers and mag floor plates and, of course, fixed buttstocks.

I believe the original is foreign made.

Does anyone else have one of these rifles...whats the deal with having to have so many us made parts? as far as i can tell this rifle is all foriegn made.

i used to own one...an ohio ordnance works conversion. the romak 1 high caps i am familiar with had 3 usa trigger parts in them and were meant for use with magazines with the 2 usa parts on them...thus, 5 usa parts and they were legal.

Recent TAPCO product is also US made.

Parts count is a permanent 1989 law. Evil features was the 1994 law.
