Does anyone have some specs to change a WASR-10 magwell, I can create a template from one of my other rifles, but I'd rather have a printable overlay or just some hard numbers to deal with.

I'm going to have a machinist friend mill out the magwell, and the trunnion area will have to be enlarged as well. But, I'm going to have the trunnion re-riveted to replace the two that will most likely be cut off.

What other rifles? If one is a SAR1, you can probably tape some paper over the area and make a pencil rub outline for a template.

your machinist friend will have the necessary measuring tools to quickly scribe layout lines on your wasr based upon your other ak's.

I could use the magwell on one of my other AKs as a template, but I just wanted to have some hard and fast numbers to give to him to ensure it's going to be a tight fit.

the key to a tight fit is to vernier the magazines that you will be using and to open the cavity up to that size +.005" per side.

at this point, trial run the magazines. the odds are that you will still take a file to the edges to remove a bit more material.

btw, the entire job can be done in under an hour using only a set of files.
