I suggest a Chinese AK. They seem to come stock looking like the "real shit"
Wooden stocks, blued finish, very much the image that comes to mind for most people when they think "AK-47" Either that or put a wooden stock set on the SAR. |

a hungarian sa-85 (the pre-ban kassnar import) and maadi misr (the pre-ban steyr import) are both quality akm variants.
in a milled rifle, the pre-ban poly technologies 'legend' is the nicest type III variant ever offered for sale here. on the cheap, an arsenal incorporated sa-m7 outfitted with the right wood can come close...except for that ak-74 gas block. |

Sounds like you're looking for an SLR100 or SLR100H.Hungarian type III parts on a Bulgarian Milled receiver.They're getting hard to find,check the gun board listings.

Try this link. Scroll down until you see the model called the SAM-7 "Blondie". It's an Arsenal SAM-7 with blond wood furniture. The only thing you would have to do to make it look like the "real shit" as you put it is have a gunsmith remove that ugly-ass muzzle break. |

I think you guys are assuming he literally means "AK-47," as in a milled AK. I think he's just using the general AK-47 name, as in "AK."
It would be cheapest to get that classic "AK-47" look from a converted MAK90, with the Bulgarian milled AKs mentioned above being second. |
