Anyone on here know if there is a way to have the Bulgarian AK102/104/105 gasblocks fit onto a SAR3? I want one about that size, but usure of the barrel diameters. I looked for the list of the different measurements on here and didn't see them anymore.

The SAR3 barrels are Bulgarian made, so they should be of the standard diameter for a Bulgy .223 gasblock.

Those gasblocks are 90 degree compatible I believe, so it should be an easy switch for someone who knows what they are doing.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't know the Romanian barrels were Bulagarian made, as I thought the Romanians had some different numbers to them just like they have a different thread pitch for their muzzlebrakes. I tried to compare it by rough eyeball to my AK104, and it looks like it could work. I'll have to do some more checking and see what I'd come up with.

SAR1&2 are all Romy, but the SAR3 uses a Bulgy bbl set since the Romy factory does not make any 5.56 bbls. Just to confirm/clarify.

Where did you hear that the SAR-3 barrels are made by Bulgaria?

Among others, the Right Reverend Campy, who had a hand in the design of the RSA hammer with correct geometry to address the different seating depth of the Bulgy 5.56 bbl/trunion in the Romy receiver which causes the less than perfect compatibility with the Century US HTS set.

PS- was surprised to see a 2000 model SAR3 for sale today in virtually new condition
