I've only seen ONE post ban muzzle break for an AK-47 type EVER! And it said something about only fitting on russian barrels (i thought kalashnikovs [spell?] were banned)
Anyways i think a muzzle break for my SAR-1 would look nice, and add a sweet shockwave for those around me (it would do that right?)
Anyone know where i can find one online (got links?)?
Are there any out there that do not require permanent attachment? (i think the one i saw mounted to the front sight)

a post-ban kalashnikov can wear any LEGAL muzzle device, i.e. a brake or compensator, but NOT a flash suppressor.

there are many legal options for a brake/comp for your ak-47/akm/ak-74.

tapco, dyna systems, ak-usa and a ton of other folks sell legal brakes that attach by means of set screws, cross pins, welding/silver soldering or press fitting.

Hrmm...is the Bulgarian muzzlebrake a flash supressor?  I had been thinking about keeping the Bulgie brake on my builds, but if I need to replace it, I should probably start looking around for the US brakes...
