Man, that sux! I just placed an order with Dan's last month, I sure do wish that I had bought more now!

every case of barnaul ammunition that i have or have shot has been imported into redmond, washington.
i'll read the stencil on my cases and try to provide the importer's name tonight. |

Looks like more crap from FAL kit receivers and interpretations on how they need to be cut. The ammo probably just got in the way as crates that need to be inspected to search for FAL kits.
Just another reason to stock ammo to ride out the market blips... |

It's my understanding that this is the same company that imported the Yugo M76 sniper rifles. ATF allowed them in then ruled they were actually machine guns and in pre-ban configuration to boot. They were sold by SOG, from what I've heard PW has been less than helpful in recalling these rifles. Maybe that's what it about.......

I spoke with Dan this morning. He indicated he has received a new shipment of X39 and should be getting in a shipment of .223 within the two-three weeks. He said that the goings on in Redmond had nothing to do with the ammo, or barnaul.

that is good news to hear (about Dan's) but we should keep checking the running thread on FAL files.
I've been reading and looks like maybe Dan's is definately linked to PW arms somehow. Dan's phone number is on PW arms homepage or so I have read (haven't confirmed) I guess Dan would know though so i'm gonna argue. Hope it goes no farther than this. |

Well, Dan's is now supposedly "out" of FAL kits after advertising a new shipment available only a few days ago. You put two and two together...
My guess is that folks who bought a kit from Dan's are going to be getting visits soon. Rocko |

I was thinking the same thing. I had no idea this ammo was imported into redmond. Wonder if they will be willing to sell ammo at their location once this stuff blows over. wholesale prices an barnaul? im drooling.

Thats wack! I just emailed them last week asking about the selling of barnaul 7.62x39/7.62x54R to us locally and got no reply. Totally screwy they just got raided! They are about 5 miles from me too...

Why did they get raided? FAL parts sets,you see us lowly peasants can't be trusted with such potential firepower . In all seriousness though it is the cut center section of the upper that is causing the big stink. Why I don't know because it seems the demil had been looked at twice and had been approved. If you have a kit with the offending piece strip you mag and bolt hold open from it and destroy or abandon the section is what I was told. Dan's is up and running as I just got an order yesterday and also placed an order for ammo , Barnaul and Aussie as a matter of fact. HTH

I placed an order with them last Tuesday 6/17/03. They answered the phones and everything seemed ok.
