So a couple of weeks my wife asked me wanted for our anniversary.  At the time I was looking thru the FAC flyer and said, "One of these AK's." pointing out a SAM7.  She didnt even give me the usual, "Why do you need another gun line."  She just said, "That's nice." and the flyer disappeared - like most of the gun flyers do after about 2 days. I had not yet purchased the one I bought a few weeks ago.

Well, today my buddy at Widener's calls and says, "Your gun's here."  I told him he was sniffing too much gunscrubber, but he insisted I come down.  Turns out she called FAC, charged it and had it shipped to Widener's.  A little annoyed the my buddy didnt clue me in, but...

Here's the really funny part. Since she called and charged it, no sales tax.  Just paid a $31 for tranfer and call in.  The gun novice beat the price I paid for the one I bought 2 weeks ago!

What a great woman!

Actually yes! and she's single and smart.   Mid 20's 5'5'', 125-130#, blond with long legs. Gun illiterate but probably willing to learn.

Good story..sniff, sniff...

My wife is same but she turned a blind eye when I showed her that NIB Poly AK 2 nights ago. I ended up filling everyone else in instead. Now that really brings tears to my eyes. Maybe next time!

Good deal. So, are you saying that you are the proud owner of TWO SA-M7 rifles?

Fond du lac has one of the better gunshows in WI, FWIW.
Used to be a beautiful town until all the losers from Milwaukee and Chicago started flocking there. The generosity of WI is becoming its undoing. I kept moving north. Any further and I'll be in MI!

Yes, 2 sam 7's are now in the stable.  SAR1 redo with trigger, kvar stock set and Ak-74 brake just moved to a buddy's.

Took #2 out today and shoot a 4.5 inch group at 200 yards using the trust and cheap Barnaul HP.  Same great accuracy as the first.  Fit and finish is about the same - maybe a little better on #2.  THe bolt carrier is painted/coated black on #2 whereas its grey on #1 (which I think looks better) but other than that they are twins.

WarDawg,

I think you'll be very pleased with the Sam7.  The ideal would be the SAM7S - has a siderail.  Wife was going to ordre that one but they were backordered for 2-4 weeks.  Since we are getting ready to move, she was afraid it wouldnt get here in time.

Everyone who has shoot or I've shown my sam7 to has been very impressed.  Those with the available funds have either bought one or ordered one.

Now that's a beautiful thing.

Now it's your turn to return the favor and buy her an AR15.

Nix on the AR - tried that one already!  I can only get her to the range with me about 2-3 a year ( I shoot 2-3X a week). I did spring for some new diamonds to be added to the engagement ring, though.  Shes happy and that's what matters.
