I got a chance this week to hangout with Hickok45 at his place. Here's a video that includes Hickok45, Big John (his son), TNOutdoors9, FateofDestinee and 22Plinkster doing a bit of a round table discussion about how we got started doing videos.
It's also worth mention that I took my Arsenal SGL31-94 with me and had Hickok45 shoot it and offer some feedback. I have it configured with a RMR LED sight, MI rails, US PALM grip and AFG. He was hitting steel with it easily and he loved it, as did others there - some of whom had never fired a AK74 before. FateofDestinee moved a 74 up to the top spot on her "must buy" list.

Hows the youtube thing working out for you? Is it what you do for a living now, or just a little side paying hobby? Seems like your channel took off really quick after you got started with it.

He taught me English in 7th grade. (1997)
Mr. Kxxxxx is a cool dude.
Mt. Pleasant is a nice place. In fact we used to have "Gun Club" where he would bring in a cool historical firearm and we would learn about it.
Don't see that anymore I'd bet.
Mr. K, if you happen to see this thread (courtesy of FAC) I'm in the class below

A. Guy with white shirt staring at the girl up front?
B. Guy staring at the wall?
C. Guy with the yellow shirt?
I'm the arm in the lower right.
The guy in the blue and red stripped shirt is my best man in my upcoming wedding.

Good stuff. I guess we'll be seeing more SGL31 reviews soon from them eh? When 74's become more popular from them and the ammo doubles in price from the demand, be sure to blame Sturmgewehre for it.
Did you guys get video afterwards of shooting or was that more of a casual event?

By that time hope we get Wolf, Brown Bear, and Tula 5.45x39 to help off set the cost.
The only 5.45x39 I ever see for sale near me is surplus. Can't get the stuff everywhere(WalMarts, etc.) like you can 7.62x39.

It is just starting to support itself. By that I mean it covers the expenses of running it. Ammo, guns, travel expenses for shows, things like that. It has a LONG way to go before I quit my day job. I guess it could be done, but even Hickok still works a day job and his channel is considerably more popular than mine.

There should be another video posted of us doing a little shooting, but it was a very casual event. We BS'ed most of the time, shot some, ate some pizza, played some basketball... I'll post the shooting video to this thread when it goes up.

I figured he was a teacher of some kind. The ability to stand in front of a bunch of people and give thoughtful, accurate information is a skill usually honed by standing and talking in front of a group for a living.

It's good to know you and Hickok45 are friends. Now I won't feel so guilty 'cheating' on you when I watch his channel too.
