Picked up this Saiga 223 (20" Barrel) today and was hoping to find a dimple on the reciver but insted got these weird markings. Anyone know the meaning of them? is it really uncommon? good/bad ect.

"ROSJAGN" on the rear of the reciver and it has an area up front where other markings were cleared.

*Edit* It came with a 7rnd mag not the regular 10rnd (I purchased the 20rnd surefire mag shown seperately)

I don't have a clue, but if you don't find an answer here, you might try the forums over at Saiga-12.com

They have a section for every caliber Saiga made, and someone there will probably know more.

I think those went through Germany before they got here. I'm not aware of them coming with those markings for the past few years. They are importer markings.
