he held that pretty steady and I like a full auto SKS.

We talked about this before in the sks section. Some board member posted the info on how to convert the bolt etc. to go full auto. I thought that thread would have been locked, but I guess not.

I think I've seen footage of that gun before in a Knob Creek video.  But from what I remember the cyclic rate in the other video was even faster - almost MAC like (at least 1000 rpm).

That looks to be more around 7-800rpm.  Wonder if he slowed it down to decrease wear, or if it's the same gun.

I shot that video (and a whole lot more full auto videos on youtube)

It's a post sample machinegun.

I don't know how to convert it- it was done by the SOT who's books it's on.  He's now in Florida.

My understanding is that the SKS full auto is a slam fire modification which is very dangerous.

doesn't appear to be the case in this video. He lets up his finger and there is a pause.

The mod I'm familiar with isn't what I would consider a slam fire mod...
What I'm familiar with has  to do with the hammer releasing after the disconnector is depressed when the bolt closes the remaining 1/8"-1/4".  Let up on the trigger and the sear is no longer engaged.

My 0.02.
