I purchased this rifle last December, and I just recently finished it.  It is sporting an Ironwood walnut furniture set.



Listed below is the mounting that was included with the Ironwood stock set.  This mounting hardware replaces the need to install the lower tang.  It is quite simple, but very effective.  The buttstcock is rock solid.

You will notice that the bolt goes through the entire leangth of the buttstock, and attaches to the rear of the receiver.

My wife even helped me sand the unfinished stock, and she really got into it.

She never wanted to fire any of my rifles, but once this was completed, she actually unloaded a whole clip.  The chick from NJ unloading a 30 round clip was quite the sight to see.

This helped me purchase my next new toy, which I hope to have in my hands within the next two weeks.  I'm glad I let her help me.
