OK I hade a sidemount weaver rail and I flet it was too high and when I put a scope ontop of it it was even higher. I would like a 6x for the Rom but wasnt sure if I could use the AKmount or the SVD mount. I would like to have it as low as possible without hitting the rear sight. I dont care if I cant use them but I just cant stand to have it that high.

Thanks for the help.

BTW: Do I need the independent focus (extra money and I am broke)

Which model side bracket did you try? Taller than a BP-02?

You need the AK mount, pref the "V" clamp model which sits best on the AKM platform.

If your are happy just leaving your eye at the eye cup for focusing, the adj piece is not needed. If you go 6x, get the x42 option for better light gathering, larger exit pupil (more forgiving of eye placement to see), and the bonus of the adj eye piece.
