Kevin_M4 told me that the Russian and Polish .223 mags fit and function perfectly in his Saiga .223.
He also said that the Bulgarians were not quite 100% in function. If nothing else, I'd buy one, try it, and resell it if it doesn't work. |

Cool.
I wanted the AK-101/102's to look kind of correct. I don't like waffle mags. |

I am thinking of building an AK-101 clone. Where can you get the synthetic 5.56 mags? Also, will the SAR-3 steel mags work in a converted Saigs?

Yes. They can be nmodded to fit. as far as 5.56....i'm searching too. |

In my Saiga where I have filed the rear of the magwell back to the rivet plate for the mag catch in order to run Weigers, the Beryl fits in but does not rock thru due to the upper rear corner of the Beryl hitting the large cross-rivet. You can prob get away with filing this corner down on the mag.
