I just bought a Norinco 84S in 5.56 X 45.  I am not an AK guy.  This is my first one.

The question is this...  I was told the 84S is just an 56S rebarrelled...  not an AK-74, but an AK-47.  

Which mags fit this?  Is there a good online source?

Also, I's like to get a bayonet for it.  Will a 47 or 74 bayonet work on this?

Sorry for all the questions.  ARs are my game.  Although, I could grow to really like the AK family.

Good buy! I've never heard that the Type 84's were fitted w/ rebarrelled Type 56 bbl's, could be true and I wouldn't doubt it.

As for a bayonet search around for a Chinese Type 2 bayonet as it would make an excellent addition to your rifle.

The Type 84 will NOT accept the East German or Bulgarian 223/556 mags, and as far as I know the Type 84 rifles will ONLY  accept Type 84 mags. CDNN has Type 84 mags I believe.
