Since there isn't an official 7.62x39 ammunition picture thread yet, I figured I'd start one.  I am just starting to collect x39 as I come across different kinds so I can start the thread with a few pictures from my own stash.

I am going to begin with a group photo and a little game called ID the ammo.  I'm sure that with the veterans we have on this site, all pieces will be identified.. lets see just see how long that takes.  

In a few days I'll post again to ID each round that hasn't already gotten a positive ID, and also provide better pictures of each, with headstamps shown.  

If you've got ammo that isn't shown, and you want to add a picture and description - PLEASE DO!!  Hopefully this thread will one day become a strong tool to help us ID ammo that we are unsure of.

You guys killed it in a big hurry!  Headstamp picture to follow.  Several thousand more..  Wow.. I didn't think about how many varieties are out there.  This could take a while!

91 14 would be South African cases.

If you count all the headsatamp/load type combinations you will find well over 5,000 documented variations of this caliber!
