Selling was saying it will come down again, he only buys what he can sell since he don't want to get stuck with high priced items.

Gun show in Mesquite Tx last weekend had Wolf 7.62 for $5.00 per 20 round box = $250/1000 rounds.  Ouch!!!  Last time I bought 1000 from Cabelas last year was $79.00/1000.  Think I'll wait until the supply meets demand again.

I picked up 4k from cabellas last month at 120 per 1000

Even that was a bit high, but that's the nature of the beast

If I saw that, I probably would have gotten kicked out of the gun show, because I would walk right up to the table, look at the price tag and point and laugh at him.. or tell him to dream on and for that price, the bullet better be 24k gold plated instead of copper... Now there does seem to be a shortage of bulk wolf on the net, but its still available at all my local sporting goods stores for $2.47 for a box of 20 rounds.  Although at about the same time last year, it was $1.99 a box.  But oh well.. with the shortage, 2.47 is still a pretty decent price.  Hell, if you were crazy enough to buy wolf at 5 bucks a box, you might as well spend a buck or two more and buy the more accurate and reloadable federal american eagle brass cased ammo.

There's a gunshow this weekend and I'm hoping for some decent prices. I'd hate to see $5.00 per box for Wolf. I've been buying the Monarch(Barnaul) 7.62x39 at the local Academy to supplement to the Wolf. $2.86 per box isn't bad for FMJ.
