I went to a gunshow  here in charlotte NC and was hoping to find some 7.62x39. I didn't see any surplus or large quanities.  I did see that georgia arms had lots of ammo but I don't think they deal in 7.62x39.  There were some tables  that had a few cans of other surplus but nothing in high demand.  I saw a little of that polish 7.62x54r.  I had my  hopes up and had cleaned out my  trunk in case.  Maybe next show.

If you look hard enough sometimes you find a deal.  I snagged 980 rounds of 7.62X39 Softpoint for $98.00 out the door at a gunshow here in Georgia.  But this was the ONLY 7.62 x 39 in any quantity at all at the show.  I saw a couple of boxes of wolf for like $4.00 a box.  That's just too much.

AmmunitionStore had ~100K rounds of Wolf when the doors opened on Saturday.  By the time I got there (around noon), he was down to less than 5K, and most of it was the soft point.  I bought the last 1500 rounds of FMJ that he had available at 69.99 per 500.

At least it appears that small amounts are trickling in.

Have faith, you will see the shortage ending soon.  (I hope)

In November, I bought a case (1000rds)of brass Portugese 7.62x39 for $140

In December, I bought a case of brass South African 7.62x39 for the same price.

The old geezers selling it said they had to break into their stash because they had no Commercial ammo to sell

I went to a gunshow the other day, and the ammo dealer there told me that we will be getting in a shipment of wolf ammo this January. Maybe that's when the shortage will end.

it's going to have to be one large shipment of ammo... The way I figure, they will have to have what they normally ship + more to make up for the shortage. Since people will have drained their stashes, they'll want to buy more to refill them.
