I was going to paint the wooden ones black with automotive stonechip, just wondering if there are plastic Krink handguards available I could use instead.

I just bought a set of the Choate light textured black plastic handguards.  They will melt down!  I have had to put insulating muffler bandage stuff between the handguard and the barrel to stop the melt down so you may want to steer clear of those.  Sure was disappointed they did that too.  So some other sort or Wood ones painted with AHII might be a better alternative.

KVar is supposed to be coming out with some plastic Krink handguards. They will be US made and should be pretty decnt quality. I have a feeling that they will be pricey though.
