Here's one that I did on an OOW receiver.
 It was a pretty straight forward build. I didn't use the left side selector, so that made the job easier. You'll also need a new selector and hammer spring to go along with this project. I'm not sure who has the OOW receivers in at the moment. |

So they work in a standard AK receiver, and all we have to do is drop in a new hammer spring and selector and that is it? If they are that easy, a tantal may be my next build

Or you can just go to one of the many gunshows in VA or PA, and buy all the 30rnd mags you want. You can own 30rd mags you want in MD, you just can't buy them there.

Yea, I want one more than ever now. I am just confused a little with the whole selector switch thing that is on the left side of the receiver. Do you install it as a dummy switch or do you just leave the thing off all together?

I've seen people try different techniques to get the left side selector. The hardest way is to try and use the original setup. You would have to move the selector hole on the right side, and add the holes on the left side.
I've also seen some pictures of guys making the left side switch just a fake one. You will still need to use a new selector if you go this route. I was lazy, so I just built the rifle with a new selector. I already had an extra selector and hammer spring, so this was the best way to go for me. |

So basically, buy a Polish Tantal kit, a OOW reciever, and a US FCG and put them all together? Is that it? Also, was the OOW receiver predrilled?

Damn, well i guess that adds complexity to the build. Tools are something that a college student just kind of lacks. Not to mention the money. Guess I will order soon and just figure it out, how hard could it be. I will tie a string to the trigger the first time so its not my hand/arm/life that gets destroyed.

Oh believe me, I will if I get stuck. The only thing that I am afraid of is firing something that I have built. Thats where the string comes in.
