As I understand it, it's a belt fed gun, is there a semiauto receiver for this?  Is it easy to build?

the RPD is belt feed, there are no recievers avaliable at this time, for the home builder.. you can bet when and if they become avaliable , they will be expensive..
Vector has compleated guns ready for sale , but will not sell their reciever at this time..
they may build your kit , but its easier and quicker to buy a ready made gun from them..

I was thinking of picking up an RPD.  I decided instead to put the money towards kits and building tools.  Maybe I'll regret it later cause damn belt fed is fun.
