bought this cool kit amd 65 like a year ago or more. 2nd receiver finally welded her up solid as a rock! holes all drilled proper. Then it happenes realized I went a tad too deep on the thin side of the front trunion yep started boring right into the chamber of the barrel. not deep say about 1/10th way through. Well then tapping mt taps strip the threads easier than the reciever threads so much for the harbor freight elcheapo tap n die set!! well basically the rifle now scares me it will be a scew build with a partially bored chamber. Got thinking ciener sells a 22 cal conversion bbl liner and kit includes clip and everything needed. wouldnt this be safe? even with my screwup on the chamber of the barrel? 22 doesnt really develop much pressure I believe. any ideas would be appreciated greatly and great forum you are all so well informed here sorry to be a pain in the ass

From what you describe it should still be ok as a rivet build. Depending on how deep you actually drilled into the barrel of course. I'd press the barrel out and check it.

I don't think the depth of the hole is an issue if it's only 1/10th into the barrel end.  Been done many times before and discussed here on the boards.

I can't figure out what the deal with the threads is.  There should be a hole in the receiver and threaded hole in the remaining rivet/trunion.

If you're not comfortable with it, I'm sure you'll have no problem selling the parts set. AMD65s have really gone up in price lately.
However, I don't think the amount you've drilled into the bbl will be a problem if your depth description is accurate.
Cheap taps suck. They are always more expensive in the long run.

Punch the barrel out and rivet it.  If your description is accurate of the depth, it probably isn't even as far as you think if you pull the barrel and look.
