Has anyone had experience using a receiver block or receiver extension to install an under folding stock on an AK? This device, which is sold by several well known AK parts dealers, allows one to install the stock without having to drill extra holes in the receiver.

I have seveal questions about this approach:

(1) The stock will be mounted about two inches from its normal location. If it is folded will the buttplate cover the magazine well?

(2) Can this part and stock be mounted on a generic AK rifle or must it be mounted on a rifle that is intended to be an underfolder?

(3) Can any underfolding stock be used? For example one dealer of the receiver extension says it is to be used with a Chinese underfolding stock and that it can be mounted on any AK/MAK. Is this correct?

With the AWB gone I would like to build an underfolder without having a drill extra holes in the receiver.

Thanks for your help.
