What length cleaning rod do we need for a 24" rifle? 36"

How good are the Dewey Graphite rods?

What bore guide will fit the thicker NM Bushmaster barrels? Will a Dewey bore guide for an AR-15 with a flash suppressor work for all AR15 barrels?

Or should I go in from the breech? I don't think I'd want to wear out the take-down pin and pivot pin each time I clean the rifle.

Sorry for the newb questions.

You aren't going to wear out the takedown pins.  Period.

Personally, I just use an Otis kit for everything, including my 24" Bushmaster.

WAY simpler than the Dewey's, and field portable.

You ALWAYS clean from the breech
