well im sitting here this morning cleaing my rifle.  well i looked down the bbl and am seeing what looks like rust in the rifling.

is it rust or something else? and how do i get rid of it?

Jason is your barrel chromed lined? If so it shouldn't be rust.Have you been putting a running good CLP (oil) patch in there after you clean? I think what your seeing is copper from the bullets on the rifleing. Nothing to worry about.I might use a copper clean every 1000-2000 rnds or so.Thats me anyhow. My rifles are plinkers not match rifles .Cheers WarDawg

thank you.  im not even sure how to tell if its chrome lined or not.

and i think your right its prob just copper build up.

Might also just be carbon particles.

Put some CLP or a solvent on a newish bronze bore brush and run it through the bore a few times, followed by a few clean patches.  Hopefully it will clean up.

If it is rust, you’ll feel the brush drag against it even after you’ve cleaned the bore as described above.
