I recently aquired a AR with the A1 style rear sight. The rear sight is in the 300-800 meter apeture and I am inquiring if there is any required procedure to move to the other apeture, it doesn't feel a though it will move without excessive pressure. I am new to this rifle and not sure as how this apeture moves.
Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Don't worry, you won't break it. Just go ahead and flip it to the other position. If it hasn't been moved in a while, a little oil should help loosen it up.

Have fun.
