Ok guys nOOb here with a silly little question pls see pics of my Bushmaster carry handle, it's a new rifle, can someone tell me why maybe my rear sight housing is twisted - it does not sit square to the handle.  Shouldnt it sit square.  I thought I was shooting ok but last time out was having problems, and I cant rememeber this thing always being like this or not.  It did take a little fall not long ago but thinking I didnt damage it that bad (only very slightly scratched on top ears of housing - didnt fall on peep) but it's now cocked to the left.  Does this thing have to go back to Bushmaster for repair??  Obviously this would affect my windage, correct?  Thanks in advance for any help..

It is normal for the A2 sight to be a bit skewed.

It is part of the design so that it can take an impact and not be broken easily.
Normal and does not effect windage adjustments.

You can also drill another hole & add another spring & detent ball , but  the only advantage I can say over it & silver soldering a shim is ,no need to refinish sight housing .
Setting up another spring & detent is time consuming & not sure how much it will weaken the sight . I have done it to one rifle in the past . Customers choice & it worked ,but a PITA holding in two detent balls to get the sight on .Need six hands .Well maybe five.

The real answer is , its not a problem , mine shoot fine & I never notice it being cocked a little.
