I recently undertook three separate builds and they will probably be the last builds I ever do. For my 6.8 SPC II hunting rifle build I decided to go with an AR Performance 16" barrel. Since there isn't that many options out there for a 12.5" 300 blackout SBR, I'm going with the 11.3" Wilson Combat barrel. I'm having a hard time deciding on a barrel for the .223/556. I would love a Noveske 14.5 but not all that willing to spend that much on a barrel. If you have a barrel suggestion that I did not mention, please let me know and I'll look into it.

The core rifle specs for the .223/5.56 are as follows

- Noveske Gen 2 Lower

- Vltor MUR-1a Upper

- Noveske 13" NSR

- Geissele SD-E Trigger

.233/5.56 barrel options:

Would be nice if you linked to the barrel specs.

I've considered the WC barrel you listed. I've heard lots of people using the DD. Rainier makes great stuff. I know nothing about the BCM.

I like the Wilson Combat barrels, I have a 16" Recon Tactical with a 1:9 Twist and it shoots EXTREMELY accurately. Another choice you may want to look into is
Spike's Tactical FN Cold Hammer Forged 14.5" Barrel

I have this barrel as well in the 16" version. It is an FN barrel and it is chrome lined based on the M249 SAW SPEC which is twice as thick as the 5.56mm SPEC. Spike's states that it will last 20,000+ rounds. This barrel is also very accurate.

I would go with the Rainier.  I have 2 of their Ultramatch barrels and couldn't be happier.

Those Rainier arms barrels look nice but there is no ETA on the ETA when they will be back in stock

I'm going with the BCM 14.5 I'm pretty sure.
