Does anyone have a link that shows how & what color patterns are applied to the AR's

Here's how I did mine. It was a royal PITA. I'll never do another digital pattern.

I just figured since we have the military armorers manuals on the forum I figured uncle sam would have a manual for applying the different camo finishes per the specs. And we would have those on the forum as well or someone would have it for investigation by us drones

AFAIK there are no "specs" for camoing rifles. The real "Operators" just use Krylon. Make big splotches. Small, intricate patterns don't work at a distance, no matter how good they look up close, unless the rifle is identical to the background.

Trust me, you get better info here for camo'ing your rifle than has ever been published in a military TM.

Just look around a bit and pick the method that applies to your skill level, environment and taste.

If you look at most military rifles that have been painted durability, tacticoolness and matching your current cammies aren't particularly of much concern.

If you want it to look like the real deal:

-just get a couple cans of matte krylon as suggested

-stick to the lighter colors of the environment around you

-don't completely dissassemble the rifle or properly degrease it

-when done painting, find a gravel driveway to throw it down a couple times
