Hello,

This might be a repost, but I was wondering what is the difference between those two, since I just gotten my M-16 Bolt and Carrier which i will be building my rifle in less than 36 hours !

I picked it up aand it only cost me 5 extra bucks instead of the Ar-15. How can I tell the difference between those since I have been looking at Pictures online and I dont see anything , there isnt any marking on mine. Due to several threads saying that  the Law Officers might give you a hard time if they find out its a M-16 on your rifles but I dont think that is an issue anymore unless Im wrong....

Let me know :)

1)  Colt "C" style Carrier
2) Normal AR-15 Carrier
3) Colt "SP1" style Carrier
4) M-16 Carrier


AR15 and M16 bolts are the same....no differences AFAIK.

I just dont want to bring my black rifle to the Range and then some Pricks from the Law comes up to me and says this is a M-16 blah blah...

so what do you suggest me to do ? just do this outdoor range only ?

no "prick" from law enforcement is going to give two shits about what carrier you have in your rifle. just wear your tin foil helmet and you'll be fine.

Thank you for all of your comments, I feel better now with the choice i made and i dont give two shits about it ..

All of Colt's civy legal rifles come factory with M16 carriers...

By the way, we demand pics when its done!
