Ok, I was am thinking that it would be cheaper to buy an UPPER kit but, don't know if there is such a thing or if it is better to buy parts and put one together.

I am looking to put together 2 uppers.

One in 223 and one in 6x45.

what kits or groups of parts should I be looking for? and where.

or should I just price it out as a complete upper vs buying all the parts elswhere.

where can I get a list of allthe parts I'll need for an upper.

Well, you can't really save more than a couple bucks assembling the upper yourself.  So unless you are a DIY purist, I'd say buy the upper with the FBA & dust cover already installed.  Del-Ton has pretty darn good prices for mil-spec uppers.
