Can someone direct me to a source for unchambered AR barrels in .30/7.62.  I know they are out there but I've contacted 3 different manufactureres and they all refused to sell directly to me.

IIRC Krieger, Pac-Nor, and most other prominant barrel makers all sell 30 caliber barrels, which can be fitted to AR10s or similar platforms.

I was under the impression they all come without the chamber cut, for proper fitting of the barrel extension by the gunsmith building the rifle upper.

If you're going to do your own chambering you might as well turn the profile yourself as well.  You can buy directly from Douglas for a good price a blank in whatever caliber and twist that you want and then go from there.
