Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - DPMS low pro A3 uppers' rail too high?

I heard that the rail is too high, and/or that it has been fixed in the newer DPMS low pro uppers. Can someone measure the distance from the bottom of the reciever(not the hinges) to the top of the rail on a standard A3 upper(not DPMS made). I want to know if my rail is too high to put a BUIS on.

I have a DPMS Lo-Pro upper that I bought about 4-5 years ago. I never had any issues, Ive had numerous BUIS and Eotechs on there and they all worked and co-witnessed nicely.



Here is mine with some cheapo BUIS I had early on. I have had DPMS detachable A2 site on there and now it has Wilson Combat rear flip up. Both sites Co-witnessed with my Eotech.
