Nice rifle. I just cant figure out why anyone would want a stupid HBAR.

I really like the look of the A2/Middy, for some reason.

You know, ADCO can help you out with that HBAR problem of yours

I'm planning on it.  I'm going to put this HBAR on a flat top upper, then have Adco turn down another RRA midlength to super light and put it on this A2 upper.

I'll probably then build a fixed stock lower for the HBAR and keep the tele lower on the A2 with the light barrel.

6 full  mags without a malf, report back

That's exactly what I do!  I get it sighted in off the bench first, using the 50 yard zero method and then I dump 4-6 mags through it to "function check" the weapon.

I do it in reverse, short stroke test 10 times, 6 mags, then zero.

I like the idea of a short stroke test---I'll have to add that to my routine, if you don't mind?

I sight in first so that I know exactly where my rounds are going during the mag dump.

I fire a couple of those 6 mags "unrestrained" (per the spec) so as long as they're hitting the backstop I don't worry about POI. The rest are fired as fast as I can change mags to get the rifle good and hot. Again, not worried about POI. If it survives that then I sweat the small stuff.

Oh I don't do it for POI either but I at least want to be sure I hit somewhere on the target/backstop

Nice looking rifle.

I love HBAR's. I have four 16" barrel rifles and they all wear heavy barrel Bushmaster barrels. I have had M4's and lightweight's but always come back to the HBAR.
