I am working a mid-length upper up and I can't decide which rail to use. I want to mill the original FSB to go under the rail. I would like to do this for reasons of strength and no guesswork as to alignment.  I would really like a 9.5 or 10" rail system, but may have to go 12". My choices are as follows:

Troy MX
Larue 12.0
DD 12.0

I don't know that I can get the LaRue unit to fit over the FSB, but it is my first choice. I wish DD still made a 9.5. Any experience and ideas would be appreciated.
