Anyone know why these pins have ribs marked out on them?

the one in the middle catches the j pin on the inside of the hole in the hammer when that pin is used as the hammer pin.

one "leg" of the hammer spring fits into the one toward the end of the pin when that pin is used as the trigger pin.

As stated above, springs in the fire control group rest in the notches to retain the pins.  So, they're for retention.
