I purchased several lowers and telescoping stocks but I do not know how to put the stocks on.  It seems that a special tool must be needed.  Please let me know any pointers if you have crossed this bridge before.

i just used a bit of blue locktite instead of using the special wrench. just look at the stock and parts closely and you'll figure it out.

+1 for this tool.  This should do it if they use the "castle nut" like all the new stocks do.  The armorer's wrench is only good for the old style nut on the CAR stocks, not the new collapsible stocks.  The armorer's wrench won't work with the Vltor, RRA, etc.  It will tear them up pretty good, but it's good to have one anyway.  A drop of blue Loctite will hold it in place once it's torqued and you don't have to stake it on.
