I have an opportunity to purchase a SP1 upper. I know that Colt's have different size pins. Are there lower receivers other than Colt that can be used, a pin conversion kit, or ????

I'm trying to keep my cost down and don't want to spend big money on a Colt lower. Thanks!

Personally, unless the upper is a steal, I wouldnt.  Those conversion pins suck, they are a pain.  I just plain dont like em.  They bind often when you pivot open the upper.... you can find lots of deals for similar small hole M16 uppers, or build one from scratch.... its up to you.  I just dont like band-aids.
