I thought that BUSHMASTER made a slant brake threaded for an AR (1/2-28 thread, I believe.)
No Go according to their latest catalog.

Does anyone know where such a beast might exist?

Where did I see one?   I think it was at YHM not 100% sure but they are out there, have you tried DPMS?
