It started out as a way to keep me from being bored but turned into something kinda nifty.

That is one beautiful gun.  Good work.  Where did you get the C-mag and the carry handle?

Yes, specs please??  I had the good sense to pick up one of the Chinese drums before they went away, like the Type-82 RPK drum but 5.56mm and with an AR feed chute...120 rounds....I want something like this to make it look cooooool. "Honey, I need this gun!..."

Got this off of the link up top.  The specs of the upper.

-  Compatible with AR15 and M16 lower receivers*

-  Piston operated design similar to that of an AK style weapon

-  Right side, reciprocating charging handle/forward assist

-  Preadator P4 rail handguard system

-  Free floated, 16", chrome lined, 1x9, light weight barrel (with threaded muzzle or permanantly attached brake)

-  Weight (unloaded on an aluminum lower receiver with an A1 stock) is approximately 7.5 pounds

*  Will not work on Colt lowers using a sear block or anything else that would prevent use of a standard carrier.  It may however be used on Colt "large pivot pin" lower receivers wih the use of an appropriate adapter.

It's a Beta C-Mag, 100 rounds in two split 50-round "sddle" style drums. Not hard to find, but like $550-$800 depending on source. They work well enough that a lot of Police Depts use them. Lower profile than either a full drum or 30-round stick mag. Very high speed.
