Hmmmmm.
Oiling the stock might be good for preserving a wooden stock, but oiling the plastic stock on an AR will make a real slimy mess. Shooting it might be kinda like catching a greased pig I suppose. |

Yeah! And if you mean oiling the buffer tube/spring, DON'T. It is supposed to run try soes you don't get grime build up in there.

Many buttstocks need a good coat of oil or Armorall to make them black/really dark grey. Don't worry about the slime, it soaks right in.
