Is there a differance between the USMC and US Army tech manuals?  If so what? Which should I get? Local army/navy has the USMC, should I get that one? I want to build a AR from scratch. Thanks for any info.

Here's the Army Manual for free courtesy of AR15.com: TM9-1005-319-23

Its a PDF file that is very large-- not for the slow internet connections folks.

BTW I do all of my maintenance and AR work based on the USMC manual, and it is just fine, and will do what you need.

Cheers, Otto

Thanks for the info. I will pick up the USMC manual. I saw the link for the manual, but I wanted a hard copy and the pdf file is somthing like 300+ pages. To much for my printer, I would be here for a week! Thanks again

Wouldn't they say basically the same thing?

Just curious.
