I just bought an A1 length stock. It has an A2 buttplate and appears to be made of the A2 material rather than the fiberglass of a standard A1.  On the right side it has the letter "C" with an "s" inside molded into it.

The previous owner claims it came off of a "Colt A2".  I know there ere some 6530's that came with an A1 length stock, but I never saw any Colt furniture with the molded in C/s.

Any idea who made it?

I believe some of the later Colt SP1s came w/ A1 stocks fabricated w/ the A2 type material.  Some of the diehard Colt fans will have more accurate info.
The Cavalry Arms A1 stocks are of a different material altogether.
