Hey guys,
Ive recently started switching over some of my higher output lights to mod buttons and hot buttons. The hot buttons have an absurdly long 9 inch switch that leaves a ton of cable hanging in space. So far, i've done a little google fu and my game is weak. I've come up with Larue index clips and thats it. Obviously, the amazing cloud defensive options wont help me as that would be redundant with the newer switching methods. What did I miss? What are you guys using? Feel free to post pics. Ill update this thread a little later with my current setup. |

I never use any tape or wires on my weapons whatsoever.
I mount my lights/lasers etc. in a way I can hit them with my thumb. |
|
LaRue index clips are the cleanest option for most common wire management situations.
|
|
Tire up the wires to the inside of the handguard before installation.
|
|
Electric tape. It doesn't win any instagram prizes but I don't care about that.

Holy hell, RIF.
Suggesting "don't use remote switch" or "use different remote switch" doesn't really help with what the OP is asking... OP--I keep a pack of mini-zip ties that I use for most cable routing/management, and use LaRue Index Clips. Ergo also has wire management rail covers, but both the Index Clip and Ergo solutions work best if you have a quad rail handguard. For the most part, with most modern M-LOK or otherwise slick handguards of various types, zip-ties are about the best and cleanest solution. ~Augee |

I prefer the Larue clips. It is a little dependent on light placement and rail set up (works best with quad rail.) but still useable depending on placement with mlok rails.
My main reason for using the larue clips vs other methods is you typically don’t have to kink or bend the wire 180° And in weird ways.Instead you can guide it in a more linear way. I’ve had two pressure switches fail/short At spots where the wire has “pressure” on it where it’s kinked |

The roll was probably $12 and I’ve been using the same roll for multiple guns. |

I just recently discovered these. Hard to beat for 6 bucks and you can cut them easily if you need to. The 4 guns I have with lights all have these on them.

KAC makes a Keymod wire management panel kit that I've heard good feedback about. It seems to be the only non-Picatinny option out there. I'm kind of surprised that they haven't released an MLOK version, since they've been making MLOK rails for a while now, but maybe the panel kit isn't a great seller. I'm also a little surprised that Magpul hasn't introduced something like this, but maybe they see it as a niche product that wouldn't provide much return on their investment in it.

I use zip ties. I enjoy the confidence I have that they won't fall off or break, and of course 2 is 1.

LaRue index clips mixed with some zip ties and some 100mph tape.
Never had any problems |

Give you more security than current setup which the wire can come out of the last clips |

Ranger bands have treated me well on certain applications. Zip ties are cool until you cut your finger open, but they do work in a pinch.

Awesome feedback guys. The zip ties are the route that I went. If you push the "head" of the zip tie inside of the rail there's really no snag or cut hazard. Its not the prettiest thing in the world like some of the setups here but its functional. Ill get some pics of the duty gun and some of my other setups when I have a chance.
Also, if anyone has buddies that work at KAC, please ask them to make those keymod panels in Mlok, that looks absolutely AWESOME. |

Just got another Cloud Defensive LCS - they work extremely well for hiding the cable.
