If you're looking at this then chances are you've been to or frequent a very popular flashlight forum (don't know if it's OK to mention it by name or not). I am very active there. I go by the same username there as well. I am fairly new to the black rifle club but have been into lights for several years. Anyway, I make custom lights on my lathe. I mostly work in titanium these days but can certainly work in other metals like aluminum as well. What I'm offering here are my services in trade for various AR parts.

May trade for AR parts. What I'd be interested in at the moment:

Optics
Free float rails
Magpul UBR Stock
Magpul CTR Stock
Tango Down QD VFG
PMags Black or FDE
Ammo .223/5.56, .45, 9mm
Troy front and rear BUIS
Complete or near complete uppers
Barrels

So if you think you might be interested in trading something for my services let me know what you have in mind.

Here's a few pictures of some of my work. I hope the pictures aren't too big. I couldn't find any guidelines for pic sizes. At here's a link to my photobucket album with tons of pictures. Be sure to click on the sub-forums on the left hand side of the page for more pictures.

Its perfectly fine to mention CPF here.  Its not OK to solicit business without a business membership though.

Site Staff has already checked in...see Wilson's post above. Very slick looking work there. Looks way out of my price range!

I just received my modded 2D Mag from Mirage_Man in the mail and the machine work looks great!  I will definitely be doing business with him again.  The light resembles the light in his first pic at the top of the thread.  It is bored out to accept a custom 15.6 volt battery pack and drive a 100 watt Osram light bulb. It will be close to the same setup as "Mac's Torch", seen here:

Just wanted to let you guys know that Mirage_Man is a good guy to deal with.

Not sure what you're questioning? Don (McGizmo) makes some great lights. However I am not he. Some of the lights I make are interchangable with his Aleph series which is of course based on the Surefire E-series.

Mirage_Man I've seen some of your work on CPF! NICE! Got any idea how to get any "Throw" out of one of Wicked Laser's Torch copies? The damn thing is ALL "Flood"! Unfortunately they changed all of the threads on the light. They aren't standard MAG. I tried installing a 3" FiveMega head but it won't thread on.

Thanks,
PursuitSS

I can't take credit for the bodies in those pics in my last post. They were done by other CPF'ers. I however made the heads.

Well the reflector will determine the throw/flood characteristics. Can you swap the reflector out?

Would you consider building (or modifying) a 9v Surefire bezel to accept a Cree (or similar) LED?

I would gladly donate a bezel for experimentation and proof of concept. If you could offer a viable LED retrofit for those of us with 9v Surefires I am confident that such a product would be worth your time financially

Shoot me an email so we can discuss it in more detail.
